Alexnder Pope (London, May 22, 1688 - Twickenham, 30 May 1744) was an English poet, considered one of the greatest of the eighteenth century.
Best-known for his satirical work for his translation of Homer, was a turning point for English literature, to the point of being the third most cited author for Oxford Dictionary of quotations after William Shakespeare and Alfred Tennyson.

As a poet I like very much especially because of aphorisms. I think it's important to get to know people like him, that poets and authors are not very popular but not capacity, and less skill than those who were able to achieve fame.
