The taste for small and big things in life

few weeks have passed a pleasant evening to the Family bustocco. We had a beautiful book of poems "Here I am" of our director, Gianluigi Marcora. A fair reading accompanied by the notes of a guitar, the songs and the melody alternating with an extraordinary voice, that of Walter Fazio. Pleasant, in particular, for those of us who choose to devote to voluntary policy a part of their lives. For one night get out of the habit of meetings, meetings, deepening of the issues you face every day. Subtracting time from work and family. But most of all for an evening gatherings taste for big and small things that fill life and are part of its meaning, and that "we" inevitably subtract an important choice because it restricts other.
In that context, a reflection spontaneous, immediate, arose almost by itself: in a historical period characterized by change and discontinuity, which inevitably produce a sense of dissolution of identity, loss of roots, the meeting of people that are part of the same community is an extraordinary little gem in its simplicity.
The roots is one of the most important and unrecognized needs of the human soul. It 'also the most difficult to define. Through its participation in real, active and natural alll'esistenza of a community that keeps alive some treasures from the past, and some intentions for the future, the human being has a root. Participation natural, given that the place almost automatically, from birth, occupation, environment. Religion.
in every human being requires multiple roots. He needs to get most of his life moral, intellectual, spiritual, through the rooms where naturally belongs.
This perception lingered that night, much of this we handed those poems. The charm is not finished, but continued in personal reading of the book. Until it was discontinued. Sharply. The sweetness of the words has become bitterness, fear the opening of the heart, the poetry division of man by man.
the souls of others, is the rock on which we have stumbled. We speak of our religion and Islam. There is talk of poly contenders. "We can go in Islam to build churches? We can put a statue, an image of Christ in a mosque? And pray in front of a Christian symbol? ... We can not . Even the followers of Islam, in our house, must be able to say "we can not " without expecting anything, not even the consideration of those who, for too well, or ignorance, is willing to sell the tradition and the life of the soul : his and others. "
We went to recover the fine book by Joseph Ratzinger: Jesus of Nazareth . We have re-read the paragraph on the parable of the Good Samaritan, and calm returned to the heart and of reason.
Our Lord teaches: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all thy mind and thy neighbor as thyself." (Lk 10:27).
no addition: as long as you love your neighbor to turn the same way, and depending on how long you live and place that suits. Pope Ratzinger page. 234 explains: "So here the question has changed: no longer a question of who among the others who is my neighbor or not. This is myself. I have to become the next so that the other counts for me as . You can not bring back the splendor of that chapter, you need to read, meditate, introjected. And live it every day, whatever the cost and how much effort it costs.
In our small, we think that the exchange of influences between very different environments are equally necessary because the roots within the natural order. A certain environment to be influenced not so much from the outside, or not only, to be enriched. Rather than being encouraged to make their lives more intense and their identity.
In compliance with the rules and duties of the State, by each.
Tradition is imported. Defines a community. But we can not sacrifice the truth and the way taught by our religion, our faith or cultural affiliation.
would be heresy. This would sell the life of the soul. Not only ours, but all the little men of tomorrow, to whom we deliver a better world to live.
"We, from our hearts, learning again the risk of goodness" (Ratzinger, p.. 236, ibid). What weapon
extraordinary, then, poetry! That already written reflects a particular moment. It's another to write, director. We look forward to
